Immunohistochemical characterization of proliferation, oestrogen receptor and progesterone receptor expression in endometriosis: comparison of eutopic and ectopic endometrium with normal cycling endometrium
Endometriosis patients showed higher epithelial and stromal estrogen receptor expression in ectopic endometrium compared to eutopic, while progesterone receptor expression varied, and proliferative activity remained low and constant in ectopic tissue.
