This paper summarizes a study by Santulli et al. that investigated whether assisted reproductive technology (ART) exacerbates symptoms in women with endometriosis. The research addressed the lack of prior data regarding potential symptom worsening, such as increased pain or bleeding, following fertility treatments. The authors concluded that ART does not have an adverse impact on endometriosis-related pain or other clinical symptoms in this patient population. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — specifically evaluating the safety of assisted reproductive techniques for patients suffering from endometriosis-related infertility.
