Term prevalence over time

Counts the number of papers per publication year that match a query (BM25) plus optional year-range filters. Useful for tracking when a concept entered the literature, how it ramped, and whether it's still accelerating.

Data reflects publication year of papers in the corpus, not term-coinage date. The corpus has a long flat tail in the 19th and early 20th century where "endometriosis" appears in historical reviews; we cap the chart to 1976+ to keep the recent decades readable. The current year (2026) is excluded — partial-year data would otherwise read as a collapse at the right edge.
