Diagnosis and management of these extra-genital localisations are described according to the literature. Parietal endometriosis usually requires large resection of the tumor. Appendiceal endometriosis is frequently observed in cases of digestive endometriosis. Induration or rigidity of the appendix due to the presence of deep infiltrating endometriosis justifies appendicectomy. Thoracic and diaphragmatic endometriosis is characterized by the presence of typical symptoms during the perimenstrual periode. Medical treatment obtaining therapeutic amenorrhea is firstly administered and surgery is indicated in cases of symptoms recurrence.\nDisciplines :\nReproductive medicine (gynecology, andrology, obstetrics)\nNisolle, Michelle ; Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Liège - CHU > Gynécologie-Obstétrique CHR\nPasleau, Françoise ; Université de Liège - ULiège > CARE \"Le Réseau des bibliothèques\" > Bibliothèque des Sciences de la vie\nFoidart, Jean-Michel ; Université de Liège - ULiège > Département des sciences cliniques > Gynécologie - Obstétrique\nLanguage :\nFrench\nTitle :\nL'endometriose extragenitale\nAlternative titles :\n[en] Extragenital Endometriosis\nPublication date :\nApril 2007\nJournal title :\nJournal de Gynécologie, Obstétrique et Biologie de la Reproduction\nISSN :\n0368-2315\neISSN :\n1773-0430\nPublisher :\nElsevier Masson, Paris, France\nVolume :\n36\nIssue :\n2\nPages :\n173-8\nPeer reviewed :\nPeer Reviewed verified by ORBi\nAvailable on ORBi :\nsince 27 April 2009\nScopus citations®\n15\nScopus citations®\nwithout self-citations\nwithout self-citations\n14\nOpenCitations\n14\nOpenAlex citations\n18\n- Gunes M., Kayikcioglu F., Ozturkoglu E., and Haberal A.
