Symptoms vary depending on the affected organs and can be associated with menstruation, which is then called catamenial. Most common location is the abdominal wall including scar, perineal, inguinal, and umbilical endometriosis. Endometriosis of the abdominal organs is categorized under visceral endometriosis, and endometriosis located in the respiratory system is referred to as thoracic endometriosis syndrome. Rarer sites have also been reported as case studies in the literature, which are summarized at the end of this chapter. Since other organs systems are involved, management includes a multidisciplinary team. When possible surgical excision of the endometriotic loci is the preferred choice of treatment. However, medical treatment is also an option in inoperable cases.\nAccess this chapter\nTax calculation will be finalised at checkout\nPurchases are for personal use only\nSimilar content being viewed by others\nReferences\nAndres MP, Arcoverde FVL, Souza CCC, Fernandes LFC, Abrão MS, Kho RM.
